Special container
What will it be? Perhaps a tire container? Or a cold store? We also have plant containers, mobile cafés and complete exhibition buildings on offer - just like anything else you could wish for in your container extension. If you can imagine it, we can build it.
Company-owned production facilities
We want to be sure that your container meets the highest standards when it leaves our factory - that's why we assemble it ourselves. Which also means that there are no hidden brokerage fees lurking in your quote.
Instead, your vision and our construction plans based on it take shape in our production facilities in Weinstadt (near Stuttgart) and Hamburg, in the hands and under the strict supervision of our foremen.

Container FAQ
Our refrigerated containers offer precise temperature control for the transportation and storage of temperature-sensitive goods. They are ideal for food, pharmaceutical products and other sensitive goods.
Yes, refrigerated containers must be connected to a power source to maintain the cooling function. This can be done via a regular power supply if they are used stationary. During transportation, external generators, so-called gensets, can be used to ensure continuous cooling or when no direct power supply is available. These gensets are crucial to ensure that the cold chain is not interrupted for temperature-sensitive goods.
Of course, Unitainer offers gensets for refrigerated containers. Our range of accessories for refrigerated containers not only includes practical ramps for efficient loading and unloading, but also the sale and rental of gensets to ensure a continuous power supply and cooling.
Open side containers have an opening along one long side, which makes loading and unloading bulky goods much easier. They are perfect for loads that exceed the standard door dimensions.
A double door container and an open side container differ mainly in the arrangement and functionality of their doors. Double door containers have doors on both ends and allow access from both ends of the container, making it easier to load and unload from both sides. Open side containers have one or more doors along one or both long sides and thus provide greater access to the inside of the container, which is particularly useful for bulky goods that do not fit through the end doors.
Custom-built containers are individually designed containers that are modified according to customer requirements for special applications. This includes adaptations for specific industry requirements, technical equipment or individual branding.
Unitainer offers a variety of sizes, from small 6-foot containers to standard 20-foot and 45-foot sizes, as well as special sizes such as 10-foot or 45-foot containers.
Yes, shortening containers to specified lengths is no problem at Unitainer. For example, we often adapt 40-foot containers to the old standard dimensions of a 30-foot container or shorten them to the length of swap bodies (7450mm). This adaptation enables flexible use and tailor-made solutions for specific requirements and areas of application.
The choice of container size depends on your needs. For smaller storage or transportation requirements, a 10-foot or 20-foot container is often sufficient, while a 40-foot or even 45-foot container is recommended for larger projects.
Unitainer offers a wide range of containers, including standard storage containers, refrigerated containers, open side containers, office and sanitary containers, as well as customized special construction containers.
The cost of a container at Unitainer varies depending on size, condition (new or used) and specific requirements. We offer transparent pricing based on your individual needs.
